| | House hunting is fun and frustrating. Frustrating why? It's not because they are over budget or whatever, it is just that I CANNOT deal with a house which has only 1 toilet and mum doesn't want a huge house. And dad, as long as it's good value, close to shopping centres (supermarket), primary and secondary school AND the must, a form of public transport accessibility And so we argue.
We definitely want to move to Ivanhoe again BUT it's just too expensive there. For the price of a 2 bedroom in Ivanhoe, we can get a house with 3 bedroom plus study somewhere else.
At the moment, we're looking at Watsonia and Mill Park area. Mill Park has GORGEOUS houses EXCEPT public transport is an issue. We rely alot on the public transport coz my brother studies in the city and it'll be more convenient for him. Although we have a car, it is mainly to help mum with her grocery shopping PLUS he still needs to sit for his Ps before he can start driving the car himself. Anyway, here are some pictures of the houses that we found - well, more like the houses which I fancy :p
House #1
House #2
You definitely know which house I prefer :p HAHAHA! So obvious lah!
And they are both spacious houses and pretty, still within our budget, has 2 toilets/bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. Maybe a 10-15 minutes walk to the nearest train station/tram stop BUT I'm pretty sure there are bus services as well.
So yes, might check out one of the houses this weekend.
My dad was suppose to come for the weekend to check out the houses BUT because the H1N1 cases in Victoria is plummeting like nobody's business, he didn't want to take the risk. He even told my sister who was suppose to come next week, not to come coz apparently "it's too dangerous". Hello papa, we are going back!!! *smacks forehead* So anyway, we want to get a house as soon as we can in order to get the first home owners grant.
Exciting :)
For the past few days I have been listening to 80s music. It makes me wanna sing and sing like non stop. And you know how their love songs are always so corny and sad-ish? it doesn't make me sad but it makes me wanna sing it out loud HAHA! It's so good lah! They are the songs we sing at kareokes! So, kareoke in KL ? mwahahha! I think Nikki, you have never been kareoke yes ? Gonna bring you when we get back okie?
Today I found out my dad's cousin whom we are pretty close to in Penang has passed away from kidney failure and something else yesterday. I also found out that my cousin's grandfather passed away this evening from cancer as well. My condolonces to both these families. Sorry that we can't get back in time for the funerals. Our prayers are with you all. Stay strong especially my cousin. Stay strong for your mum and your grandma.
But there's a danger in loving somebody too much and it's sad when you know it's your heart you can't trust there's a reason why people don't stay where they are baby, sometimes, love just ain't enough
sometimes love just ain't enough, Patty Smith
